Disney+ Cancels GOOSEBUMPS Series After Two Seasons

Disney+ has confirmed that the horror anthology show Goosebumps, based on the R.L. Stine book series has been canceled after two seasons. Each season featured a new story, setting and cast.

Season 2 followed teenage siblings who discover a threat stirring, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, the duo find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.

The series regular cast (Season 2) included David Schwimmer (as Anthony), Ana Ortiz (as Jen), Jayden Bartels (as Cece), Sam McCarthy (as Devin), Elijah M. Cooper (as CJ), Francesca Noel (as Alex) and Galilea La Salvia (as Frankie). Season 1 cast included Justin Long, Rachael Harris, Zack Morris, Isa Briones, Miles McKenna, Ana Yi Puig, and Will Price.

Nicholas Stoller (The Muppets) and Rob Letterman (Pokémon Detective Pikachu) developed the series and served as executive producers, alongside showrunner Hilary Winston (Community), Neal H. Moritz (Fast & Furious franchise), Scholastic Entertainment’s Iole Lucchese (Clifford the Big Red Dog), Pavun Shetty (The Boys), Conor Welch (Platonic), Scholastic Entertainment’s Caitlin Friedman (Stillwater) and Erin O’Malley (New Girl).
