Disney CEO Confirms Kevin Feige Will Oversee The X-MEN and FANTASTIC FOUR Properties

I know this may seem like obvious news, but some people have wondered if the Fox creative teams would continue to develop X-Men and Fantastic Four movies separately after Disney takes over. After all, there are a lot of X-Men films being planned and developed over at Fox.

Well, Disney CEO Bob Iger recently confirmed with THR that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will, in fact, be overseeing the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises when the deal closes. He explains:

"I think it only makes sense. I want to be careful here because of what's been communicated to the Fox folks, but I think they know. It only makes sense for Marvel to be supervised by one entity. There shouldn't be two Marvels."

Iger was then asked, "so Deadpool could become an Avenger?" To which He replied:

"Kevin's got a lot of ideas. I'm not suggesting that's one of them. But who knows?"

It’s going to be really interesting to see what Feige and Marvel Studios are planning for these properties and how they will be implemented into the MCU. The future MCU is sure going to look different and a lot of fans have a lot of idea about things that they would like to see.

I’d personally love to one day see a live-action Hulk vs. Wolverine movie one day! That would be so freakin’ epic! I doubt we will see any X-Men or Fantastic Four characters make their way into the MCU until Phase Five because Phase Four has already been planned, but who knows! Maybe Marvel will surprise us!

It’s definitely going to be interesting to see how they handle the Deadpool and X-Force characters.

How would you like to see the X-Men and Fantastic Four introduced into the MCU?
