Disney Confirms Plans To Develop X-MEN, FANTASTIC FOUR, and DEADPOOL Films
I think we all knew that once Disney bought Fox and Marvel and got the rights back to the X-Men and Fantastic Four characters, that Marvel Studio would eventually get around to working on developing those movies.
Well, during Disney's Third Quarter 2018 financial result conference call, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed their plans for these properties and others saying that they will use the opportunity to continue developing films for "Avatar, Marvel's X-Men, Fantastic Four, Deadpool, Kingsman, Planet of the Apes," and several other franchises. It may not happen anytime soon, but it will eventually happen.
He went on to add that the studio will also explore the possibilities for these properties both on the big and the small screen, especially as Disney's streaming service becomes a major focus for the company.
I just can't wait to see how these Marvel films will end up being implemented into the MCU. I'm sure Kevin Feige and his team will come up with some stuff that the fans are going to love. How would you like to see these films implemented in the MCU? Would you like them to just reboot everything including Wolverine?
