Disney Developing IT'S A SMALL WORLD Movie with Jon Turteltaub

In my opinion, It's A Small World is seriously the most boring ride at the Disneyland theme parks, but it is also the thing nightmares are made out of. I love going to Disneyland, but that is one ride that I just loath. I know not everyone will agree with me, but I've just hated it since I was a kid. The boringness of it though won't stop Disney from adapting it into a movie!

According to Deadline the studio has hired National Treasure director Jon Turteltaub to direct the movie. I wonder how many times they will play that god-awful theme song throughout the course of the movie.

The idea was pitched to the studio by Jared Stern, who will also write the script for the movie. He previously worked on films such as Wreck-It Ralph, The Internship, and The Lego Movie 2. He will also produce the film alongside Dan Lin (Sherlock Holmes, The Lego Movie).

There's no word on if the film will be live-action or animation, and there's no information on what the story will entail, but I imagine that it will involve some kind of world traveling adventure where everyone sings "It's a small world." I can honestly tell you that I'm so not looking forward to this movie… unless they turn it into a horror film! That's something I would be ok with.
