Disney Is Developing a BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Prequel Series with Luke Evans and Josh Gad Reprising Their Roles

Disney is producing a Beauty and the Beast prequel series for Disney+, and Luke Evans and Josh Gad are set to reprise their roles as Gaston and LeFou in the show.

The untitled project is in early development, but it will be a musical like the film was, and Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz (Once Upon a Time) are set to co-write the show and serve as showrunners. Gad will help write the series as well.

There are no story details, but it certainly looks like the series will revolve around Gaston and LeFou, both of whom are fun characters! I assume that Belle and the Beast won’t be a part of this series.

I enjoyed the live-action Beauty and the Beast remake. it wasn’t as good as the original animated film. At least with this series studio is looking to do something different and tell an original story with Gaston and LeFou. I also think it’s cool that Evans and Gad will be playing these roles again.
