Disney+ Is Developing a Halloween Supernatural Comedy Titled SPOOKED

Disney+ is producing a Halloween-themed supernatural comedy titled Spooked. The movie will be helmed by Irish filmmaker Peter Foott (The Young Offenders), and it’s being produced by Dan Lin (It) and Jonathan Eirich of Rideback.

As for the story, all we know is that the “storyline involves a Halloween night gone awry as trick or treaters are transformed into whatever costume they are wearing.” That sounds like the kind of story that we might read in a Goosebumps like the classic storyThe Haunted Mask.

Tyler Burton Smith wrote the initial script for the project, and Foott is now rewriting it. This project has some fun potential, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
