According to the New York Times, they are looking at placing free-roaming robot characters in the parks walking among the guests. Yes, Disney is looking to turn their theme parks into Westworld! This is the following information that was shared:

Disney wants the robots in its parks to come alive. One goal: Setting them free from the confines of the rides and letting them wander walkways to turn the parks into, as one executive put it, "inhabited places."

While this is something that is several years away, one day when we go to Disneyland, we may find ourselves walking and engaging with robot Disney characters! While I think this is extremely cool and something I’d love to see, it’s also kind of terrifying!

Hopefully, the robots don’t turn on the guests and start killing them.
