Disney is Reportedly Developing a Live-Action SNOW QUEEN Movie
Disney’s animated Frozen franchise was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy-tale The Snow Queen. In fact, in the early days of development, the animated film was titled Snow Queen. Well, the studio is now looking to bring the story of The Snow Queen to life again on the big screen, but this time in live-action form.
Story details on the project are being kept under wraps; however, before you start called the film a “live-action Frozen remake” the report from The DisInsider says they have been told that The Snow Queen is a brand new film altogether, and Kristin Burr (Cruella, Christopher Robin) is on board producing.
The Snow Queen was published on December 21, 1844, and it tells a story about the “strength and endurance of childhood friendship. Gerda's search for her playmate Kay–who was abducted by the Snow Queen and taken to her frozen palace.”
This could end up being a great movie for Disney, and I’m sure they’ll bring on a top-notch creative team to bring the story to life.
