Disney+ Offering 4K HDR & Dolby Atmos at No Extra Cost as an Advantage Over Competitors

With all the competing streaming services about to come on the market, it will be interesting to see which ones set themselves apart. Price, user-friendliness, and content are all major factors in how well they will be received. But there are other contributing factors as well.

In a recent tweet, entertainment writer Eric Vespe posted a video from a panel he attended at D23 this past weekend. The panel featured a tutorial on the upcoming Disney+ streaming service, showing a little demo of what can be expected.

Eric says in the tweet that while talking to a rep, he was told that there are “definitely titles that stream in UHD and Dolby Atmos. No upcharge.” So that’s a cool little bonus from the streamer, and a welcome difference from Netflix and Apple, who only offer these perks for a fee.

Check out the demo below, and let us know if you like what you’re hearing about Disney+ so far!
