Disney Orders Two New Original Movies: UNDER WRAPS 2 And THE NAUGHTY NINE

Disney has ordered two new original movies for Disney+ and Disney Channel: Under Wraps 2 and The Naughty Nine.

Underwraps 2 will pick up where the 2021 one left off with Amy preparing for her father’s Halloween themed wedding. When Sobek, the evil mummy with a grudge, is reanimated and kidnaps Rose and Amy it’s up to Gilbert, Marshall, Buzzy and Harold to save them and get back in time for the wedding. Stars Malachi Barton, Christian J. Simon, Sophia Hammons, and Phil Wright will return with Melanie Brook, T.J. Storm, Rryla McIntosh, Jordan Conley, and Adam Wylie also join the cast.

The Naughty Nine is a Disneyfied, Christmas version of Oceans 11. When Andy lands himself on the naughty list he pulls together a ragtag crew to plan a heist to get the presents they deserve. The crew include Dulce, Andy’s best friend and archery expert; North Pole conspiracy theorist Lewis; daredevil “wheel woman” Ha-Yoon; animal whisperer Rose; master-of-disguise Jon Anthony; adorable charmer Albert; and Andy’s older sister, Laurel, a talented gymnast seeking to regain her confidence. In a twist that should surprise no one but the youngest of viewers, the group will discover that Christmas is more about giving than taking. The movie will feature Winslow Fegley, Camila Rodriguez, Anthony John Joo, Clara Stack, Imogen Cohen, Madilyn Kellam, and Deric McCable.

They sound like typical Disney Channel fare but hopefully will make for fun holiday watching with the family.
