Disney Plans To Reboot HOME ALONE, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM, and DIARY OF A WIMPY KID
The age of reboots and remakes continues at Disney with the announcement that they are looking to develop reboots of Home Alone, Night at the Museum, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid for Disney+. The news came from Disney CEO Bob Iger and was reported by Entertainment Journalist Ashley Carter:

Did I hear that right?
Well, it’s not surprising! Disney has been rebooting everything under the sun that they have the rights to, so the fact that they are rebooting popular Fox properties now fits right in with their plan to continue to make massive amounts of money by rebooting popular old properties. There’s no word on if these properties will be rebooted as films or series.
Fans of the original films can complain all they want, but it’s not going to stop Disney from doing everything they can to make more money. And you know what else, audiences are going to flock to watch these remakes! Because of that, this constant stream of remakes and reboots and reimaginings, what ever you want to call them, will not stop.
If you want original movies, go out and see and support indie films! That’s the only place now where any kind of fresh and original content will be born.
I can’t say that I’m excited about any of these remakes just announced. Are you?
