Disney+ Releases First Trailer For SNEAKERELLA - A Fresh Take On A Classic Tale
Disney+ has released the first trailer for its original film Sneakerella, a fresh take on the classic Cinderella story. This movie follows a teen boy named El (Chosen Jacobs), who works in his father’s shop, but dreams of being a sneaker designer. He meets a girl, Kira King (Lexi Underwood), at the release of a popular new sneaker who happens to be the heir of a sneaker empire, and he realizes he may have his chance to break into the industry.
The film was directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum (Ramona and Beezus) from a script by Tamara Chestna (After), George Gore II (My Wife and Kids) and Mindy Stern (The Baxters).
Jacobs and Underwood are joined in the cast by John Salley as Kira’s father, basketball star and sneaker tycoon Darius King, Devyn Nekoda as El's best friend Sami, Juan Chioran as El's friendly neighbor Gustavo, Robyn Alomar as Kira's sister Liv, Bryan Terrell Clark as El's stepfather Trey, Kolton Stewart as El's stepbrother Zelly, and Hayward Leach as El's stepbrother Stacy.
