Disney+ Releases Special Look Trailer for ARTEMIS FOWL
I’m excited for the launch of Artemis Fowl next month, and now Disney+ is giving us fans a special look trailer. The trailer mostly focuses on Artemis starting his journey and assembling a team to help him. None of the content is new, but rather re-edited from the previous trailer. Now, it’s been a while since I read the first book, but there’s a lot in the trailer that I don’t remember happening in the first book. Am I crazy or are they trying to do multiple books in the film?
Disney’s “Artemis Fowl,” based on the beloved book by Eoin Colfer, is a fantastical, spellbinding adventure that follows the journey of 12-year-old genius Artemis Fowl, a descendant of a long line of criminal masterminds, as he seeks to find his father who has mysteriously disappeared. With the help of his loyal protector Butler, Artemis sets out to find him, and in doing so uncovers an ancient, underground civilization—the amazingly advanced world of fairies. Deducing that his father’s disappearance is somehow connected to the secretive, reclusive fairy world, cunning Artemis concocts a dangerous plan—so dangerous that he ultimately finds himself in a perilous war of wits with the all-powerful fairies.
Artemis Fowl will launch on Disney+ on June 12. The film stars Nonso Anozie, Judi Dench, Colin Farrell, Josh Gad, Lara McDonnell, Josh McGuire, Nikesh Patel, Adrian Scarborough, Ferdia Shaw, and Tamara Smart. Kennet Branagh’s directing the film.
