Disney Reveals Art, Title, and Release Date For RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET: WRECK-IT RALPH 2
Disney has announced that the title of the Wreck-It Ralph sequel is Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2. They also revealed the logo, a piece of promo art, and the release date, which is March 9th, 2018.
The news was announced at CinemaCon during the Disney presentation, and they also confirmed that John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jane Lynch, and Jack McBrayer will be returning to reprise their role in the sequel.
Directors Rich Moore and writer Phil Johnston are coming back to work on the sequel as well. When talking about the sequel, Moore said:
“To take these characters we love and have them enter the enormous world of the internet has given us so much to explore. Our production team has been hard at work designing a world that takes something we all think we know – the internet – but shows it in a whole new, imaginative way.”
Johnston added:
“We’re so excited to be working with Ralph, Vanellope von Schweetz, Fix-It Felix and Sergeant Calhoun again, and we have new characters we look forward to unveiling. At the center of this film, as in the first one, is the relationship between Ralph and Vanellope, two once-outcasts, who in each other, found true friendship.”
I loved Wreck-It Ralph, and I like the direction that they are taking the sequel. We don't really have any major story details yet, but I think we get the gist of it from the title and the promo art. I can't wait to see the adventure that this next chapter in the franchise takes our favorite characters on.
