Disney Reveals First Look and New Details For Their GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Roller Coaster

There’s a new Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster ride currently being constructed at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida at Epcot. Thanks to Inside the Magic we no have our first look at the new ride along with some new details.

Bob Chapek, Chairman of Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products, recently revealed the vehicles for the ride during a panel discussing the past and future of Disney parks around the world.

It revealed that the indoor Guardians of the Galaxy coaster is going to be massive and is being built on the top of the biggest concrete floor that Disney World has ever constructed. It’s also said that the building housing the attraction will be big enough to house four Spaceship Earths.

It’s also revealed that that the vehicles that riders will be sitting in will change direction in order to follow the story being told throughout the attraction, which is kinda cool. Chapek says:

“This will be a coaster unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. We call it a storytelling coaster. But on this attraction, each individual cab will be programmed to direct your eye to the story happening around you. Instead of whizzing by the action, you’ll be fully immersed in the story from the minute you launch.”

Disney is hoping to launch the new ride at some point in 2021. Maybe I’ll finally make my way down to Disney World after it opens. Seems like a fun ride worth checking out!

Check out the video below showing off the roller coaster and let us know what you think.
