Disney Shares a Clip From Jon Favreau's THE LION KING at CinemaCon Presentation

During the big Disney presentation at CinemaCon today, we got to see a lengthy new clip from director Jon Favreau’s The Lion King.

The clip we were shown was pretty much a shot for shot reimagining of the seen where Mufasa takes his son Simba out to show him the kingdom that will be his. I’m sure you all remember the scene where Mufasa talks about the circle of life and tells Simba that he will rule over everything the light touches.

This time the scene is completely photo realistic. The animals, the background and everything looks like a live-action film. Everyone keeps referring to the film as being a live-action film, but it’s not. This is a CGI animated movie and it’s absolutely stunning. The visuals are so freaking beautiful!

So, when you watch these clips from the original animated film below, just imagine what it would look like in real life! These are the scenes that we saw! There were a few little differences, but for the most part they were almost exactly the same.
