Disney+ Will Play a Big Role in Marvel's Future Plans

We already know that Disney has big plans for Marvel with their Disney+ shows that will focus on characters like Loki, Scarlett Witch, Vision, Falcon, Bucky Barnes, Nick Fury, Rocket Raccoon, Groot and more.

Obviously, it’s no secret that Disney and Marvel have big plans for the streaming service, but while speaking on Variety's Playback podcast, Kevin Feige was asked about whether or not streaming platforms would be a big part of Marvel Studios' future, and this is what he said:

"Disney+ is, yes. Which is another exciting avenue and another exciting thing about being at this place at this time and goes back to the amount of characters we have and the amount of stories we could tell."

Feige goes on to tease that Disney+ will allow them to tell a lot more stories and expend the universe. As of right now, Marvel is only able to make a certain number of films per year. Disney+ will allow them to tell a lot more.

"When we announced ten movies and people asked ‘Well what about these other things?' the previous stance would be 'We only have a certain number of slots to make movies per year.' That's still true but we have another outlet that I think will be very unique and very special."

I’m actually pretty stoked about the future of Marvel and the new content that they will be producing for Disney+. There are so many great characters in the MCU to play with, and a ton of other characters yet to be introduced. I’m still hoping to see a Howard The Duck and Hellcow movie or series!

What kind of shows, other than the ones that have already been mentioned, would you like to see Marvel Studios produce for Disney+?
