Disneyland's AVENGERS CAMPUS Attraction Opening Has Been Delayed
Disney’s Marvel-themed Avengers Campus was originally supposed to open at Disney California Adventure on July 18th, 2020. Well, it’s not surprising to learn that the opening of the attraction has been delayed. Now the Disneyland website says that it’s “Coming Soon”.
According to Micechat, all the work on Avengers Campus, and all other construction projects at the Disneyland Resort, have been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. Work will resume on the project as soon as it’s safe to do so.
As you know, the Disney theme parks are all currently closed and we have no idea when they will reopen. This is a previously released description of what we can expect from Avengers Campus:
The Avengers are setting up new Headquarters and training facilities around the globe to inspire all potential recruits willing to step up and become something more. As part of this global initiative, Tony Stark has founded the Worldwide Engineering Brigade — or WEB for short— to develop advancements in super-powered technology, including new enhancements to Spider-Man’s suit as their debut project. By bringing together the world’s brightest young inventors, the WEB is creating new interfaces that will empower all of us to join the ranks of Earth’s Mightiest.
Guests will get to ride on the “Web Slinger” vehicle, which allows you to sling webs just like Spider-Man. The attraction will give guests a taste of what it’s like to have actual superpowers as you help Spider-Man collect Spider-Bots that have run amok.
Avengers Campus will also include Pym Test Kitchen. Pym Technologies uses its latest innovations to grow and shrink food at this eatery.
