Disney's CHIP AND DALE: RESCUE RANGERS Live Action/CG Hybrid Has Found a Director
Disney’s classic cartoon series Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers is currently being made into a live action/CG hybrid film that has now found its director: Akiva Schaffer, member of Lonely Island, the group that includes Andy Samberg and Jorma Taccone. The original series saw the lovable chipmunk duo run a detective agency helping animal clients.
There are no details about the story for the film yet, but we know it will not be an origin story or a detective story. It’s reported that Schaffer will be taking a meta approach to the making of the movie. This sounds like it will be a fun and humorous take on the classic characters we know and love.
The movie is currently in development, and we will let you know as soon as we have casting news and a release date. Are you a fan of Chip and Dale? Will you be seeing this movie?
