Disney's ENCHANTED Sequel DISENCHANTED Starring Amy Adams Heading to Disney+
Disney’s Enchanted was a live-action musical released back in 2007 that told the story of Giselle (Amy Adams), a cartoon Disney princess living in the land of Andalasia. When she meets the prince of her dreams, she is tricked into falling down a well by an evil Queen (Susan Sarandon), that leads her into the sewer system underneath New York City.
She ends up lost and alone and confused by the world around her, when she runs into a little girl and her father (Patrick Dempsey). Her Prince (James Marsden) comes after her, and Giselle ends up having to make a choice between the world she knew and following her heart.
It’s a wonderful movie with fantastic music throughout, and Disney has had a sequel in the works for a while now. Disenchanted will pick up ten years after the events of the first movie, and will see Giselle questioning her happiness, inadvertently turning the lives of those in the real world and Andalasia upside down.
Disney has now announced that Disenchanted is set to head straight to Disney+. Adam Shankman is attached to direct, and no other details have been released regarding plot or who will be writing the script or music. We will keep you posted. I am excited for this sequel. I loved the first film so much! Are you looking forward to Disenchanted?
