Disney's STAR TOURS is Getting a New STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER Update
The Star Tours - The Adventures Continue Disney Park attraction is getting another upgrade, and this one will be inspired by the highly anticipated film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
The new location that is being added to the ride by Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic will take passengers in the Starspeeder 1000 to the ocean moon Kef Bir. This is the place where the remains of the Death Star have crashed. In the trailer we also see Kylo Ren and Rey fighting on the moon.
I imagine that the ride will end up speeding through the remains of the Death Star from Return of the Jedi, which would be pretty rad. We don’t know for sure what the new update will entail, but I can’t wait to experience it!
Over the past few years, Disney and Lucasfilm have added flights on the ride to Jakku, Crait and Batuu. This new edition will open up on December 20th, the same day that The Rise of Skywalker opens in theaters at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disney Resort.
