Disney's STAR WARS: GALACTIC STARCRUISER is Closing Down After a Year and a Half
Disney’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser immersive experience at Walt Disney World in Florida is closing down after only being in operation for a year and a half! It will completely shut down in September.
The Walt Disney Company announced the closing with the following statement: “Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is one of our most creative projects ever and has been praised by our guests and recognized for setting a new bar for innovation and immersive entertainment. This premium, boutique experience gave us the opportunity to try new things on a smaller scale of 100 rooms, and as we prepare for its final voyage, we will take what we’ve learned to create future experiences that can reach more of our guests and fans.”
I never had the opportunity to experience the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, but I’ve heard from a lot of people that it really isn’t worth the price of what you have to pay to do it. I would have liked to experience it myself, but I just can’t afford the cost to do it! I just couldn’t justify spending $6,000 on a two-day vacation!
The experience will remain open through September 30th, with the final event beginning on September 28. Disney will be reaching out to those who booked trips after that soon about rescheduling—and all reservations will pause until May 26th.
Did any of you get the opportunity to experience Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser? If so, what did you think?
