Dive into Hell with D&D's BALDUR'S GATE: DESCENT INTO AVERNUS This Fall

The biggest announcement at D&D Live 2019: The Descent was probably Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus. This is a new adventure for the Sword Coast that will see characters level from level one all the way to level thirteen! Baldur’s Gate is a very popular setting for many fans already and so I’m sure they’re eager, but what’s even cooler is that this adventure takes you to Avernus, which is the first layer of the Nine Hells. Also, what’s really cool is that Joe Manganiello has consulted on Descent into Avernus and lent his character Arkhan the Cruel complete with storyline and supporting cast. Sign me up!

Welcome to Baldur’s Gate, a city of ambition and corruption. You’ve just started your adventuring career, but already find yourself embroiled in a plot that sprawls from the shadows of Baldur’s Gate to the front lines of the planes-spanning Blood War! Do you have what it takes to turn infernal war machines and nefarious contracts against the archdevil Zariel and her diabolical hordes? And can you ever hope to find your way home safely when pitted against the infinite evils of the Nine Hells?

Another cool factor of Descent into Avernus is that it is bringing infernal war machines, battle-ready vehicles, into the current era. If this isn’t enough to get you excited, I’m not sure what will. Descent into Avernus will release on September 17 and you can pre-order it on Amazon (currently on sale for only $35.97, aka 28% off), D&D Beyond, Roll20, and your friendly local game store.
