DMs Should Consider Looking at DRIZZT DO'URDEN'S GUIDE TO COMBAT

Combat is a central part of most Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. To help give ideas on how to possibly improve the way you run a combat encounter as a DM, Darrin G. Scott has written Drizzt Do’Urden’s Guide to Combat.

The goal is to help DMs and players maximize their fun during combat by doing things such as speeding up combat with pre-rolled initiative order, cheating a little to help a boss not die an anticlimactic death after two hits by adding some extra health, or simply working on improving your narration of the battle.

This guide can be helpful, especially for newer DMs and can even provide some good food for thought for veteran DMs.

In addition to the guide, you’ll also get some extra materials such as tokens, blank tokens, and a guide to creating stat blocks for your own creatures. This tool should be considered by any DM. It’s very thorough and addresses many things that may seem like common knowledge to some, but others may not have considered.

Drizzt Do’Urden’s Guide to Combat is available on DMs Guild for $7.45.
