Do You Think Nicolas Cage Would Make a Great Joker? He Certainly Thinks He Would!

Nicolas Cage has done a wide range of things as an actor over the years. He's very diverse in the kind of projects he has been a part of, but one thing he's always been great at is acting absolutely bonkers! So, when he says that he thinks he would make a great Joker, it's something I would have to agree with him on. He would be an absolutely insane Joker!

During a recent interview with JoBlo, he talks about how the only roles he might be able to play in a comic book film at this point in his career is a villain, and Joker and Doctor Doom are two villains that he's interested in. 

"I mean, I think my comic book days are kind of...I'm on to other things, but I always thought I'd make a great Joker and I always thought that I would've been a good villain in one of the Marvel [movies] like Doctor Doom. But, Doctor Doom you have to wear that mask, but I thought the story leading up to Doctor Doom could've been interesting. At this point if I was to go back into the format it would probably have to be as a villain."

I don't think we'll ever see him take on the role of the Joker or Doctor Doom, but if he did do you think he would be good in either of the roles? What other villainous roles do you think Cage would be a good fit for?

When it comes to The Joker, Jared Leto is still attached to play him in the DCEU and Joaquin Phoenix is in talks to play the character in director Todd Phillips' Joker Origin film. As for Doctor Doom, Noah Hawley is working on that film, and I'm pretty sure he'll be casting someone to play a younger version of the character.

I guess if they ever decided to do a Batman Beyond movie, Cage could play the older version of The Joker.
