As if Netflix's Stranger Things has not released enough nostalgia-inducing promotional materials we get yet another one. It's a new poster that Netflix released for the first season of Stranger Things inspired by a movie that was probably one of the series’ biggest influences, Rob Reiner’s Stand by Me, which is also based on the Stephen King novel The Body.

The Duffer Brothers have openly said they were inspired by the four friends in Stand by Me, so much so that they actually used the Stand by Me script when casting the roles of Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Will. Also, the Duffers titled the fourth episode of the series “The Body” after the title of the original King novel.
