DOCTOR DEATH Featurette Takes Us Behind-The-Scenes of The True Crime Drama Series
Peacock has released a featurette for its upcoming Dr. Death true-crime drama series. It features the cast of the series talking about the roles that they play in the drama thriller. The cast includes Joshua Jackson, Alec Baldwin, Christian Slater, and AnnaSophia Robb.
The featurette also teases Jackson’s astounding leading performance as the killer surgeon, who has been getting away with some insane medical malpractices because of a flawed medical system. This is a crazy and chilling story. I’ve listened to the podcast that it’s based on and I can’t believe this shit actually happened!
Based on the terrifying true story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch, Dr. Death tells the story of a rising star in the Dallas medical community. “Young, charismatic, and ostensibly brilliant, Dr. Duntsch was building a flourishing neurosurgery practice when everything suddenly changed. Patients entered his operating room for complex but routine spinal surgeries and were left permanently maimed or dead. As victims piled up, two fellow surgeons and a young Assistant District Attorney set out to stop him. Dr. Death explores the twisted mind of a sociopath and the gross negligence of the system designed to protect the most defenseless among us.”
Baldwin takes on the role of Robert Henderson, Slater plays Randall Kirby, AnnaSophia Robb plays Michelle Shughart, Grace Gummer plays Kim Morgan, and Dominic Burgess plays Jerry Summers.
Dr. Death is written and executive produced by Patrick Macmanus (Happy!), who is also the showrunner with directors Maggie Kiley (Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story), who will also executive produce the first two episodes, Jennifer Morrison (Euphoria), and So Yong Kim (Grand Army).
The series will debut on Peacock this summer.
