DOCTOR DOOM is Getting His Own Solo Film From LEGION Creator Noah Hawley!
Whoa! We got some big news from Comic-Con! The studio is looking to once again try to revive the Fantast Four franchise by developing a standalone Doctor Doom movie! What!? I'll be honest, I didn't see that coming at all.
The best part is that Fargo and Legion series creator Noah Hawley is developing it. The fact that he's involved actually gives me hope that the movie could turn out great. Fox has been on a roll recently with producing great comic book films like Deadpool and Logan. Maybe... maybe this time, they will actually make a decent film with a Fantastic Four character.
I really want to be excited about this news, but right now... I'm going to be cautiously optimistic and that optimism comes from the fact that Hawley is going to develop it. The news came from Hawley himself during the Legion panel. It's there he teased that he was developing a movie for Fox that would interest fans. Then he said:
"Two words. Doctor. Doom."
According to THR, Hawley is looking to direct the project, but as of right now it seems like he's just a producer on the project and maybe writing it. He's not confirmed to direct yet, but hopefully, that happens!
Just in case you've been living under a rock since you were born, Doctor Doom in the main villain of the Fantastic Four. There's no word on if the Fantastic Four team will be involved, but I don't see how they would really be able to make a Doctor Doom movie without them.
Julian McMahon played Doctor Doom in the original two Fantastic Four films, and Toby Kebbell portrayed the character in the most recent version.
This movie will not be connected to the last Fantastic Four movie that was made. This will be a complete reboot and It'll certainly be interesting to see how it turns out.
