Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch Will Be Doing Some Unexpected Things Together in DOCTOR STRANGE 2

Marvel fans are insanely excited about Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. We’ve seen two trailers for the film and both of them have been freakin’ awesome! This movie is going to deliver something incredibly epic and insanely unique as Doctor Strange will be dealing with the madness of breaking open the multiverse.

One his new adventure, he enlists the help of Scarlet Witch, and we’ll see the two team up to try and fix things. Honestly, though, I think it’s past the point of fixing things. Anyway, in a recent issue of Disney's D23 magazine, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness co-producer Richie Palmer teased some unexpected things for the Strange and Witch team-up saying:

"They are arguably two of the most – if not the most – powerful beings in the MCU. It was only a matter of time before we got them together, and we do it in a pretty fun, unique way... It's a classic Marvel team up, but they do some things together that you'd never expect to see them do."

I’m excited to see what some of those things are! This whole experience is going to be different for Wanda and Palmer goes on to say that "Wanda has been through a lot," but after the events of WandaVision "she really knows who she is." It’s explained that this new feeling of "self-actualization" will play into these unexpected surprises.

Benedict Cumberbatch is back as Doctor Strange, and he’s joined by Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch. Here’s the synopsis:

In Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

Now that Iron Man and Captain America have left after a fierce battle in Avengers: Endgame, former genius surgeon and the strongest magician of them all, Doctor Strange, is expected to play an active role as a central figure in the Avengers. However, using his magic to manipulate time and space at will with a forbidden spell that is considered the most dangerous has opened the door to a mysterious madness called ‘the Multiverse.’ To restore a world where everything is changing, Strange seeks help from his ally Wong (Benedict Wong), the Sorcerer Supreme, and the Avengers’ most powerful Scarlet Witch, Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen). But a terrible threat looms over humanity and the entire universe that no longer can be done by their power alone. Even more surprising, the greatest threat in the universe looks exactly like Doctor Strange…

The movie also stars Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Rachel McAdams, who will be back as Wong, Karl Mordo, and Christine Palmer, respectively. Xochitl Gomez has also joined the cast as America Chavez, who you also get to see in action!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be in theaters on May 6th, 2022.
