DOCTOR STRANGE Director Scott Derrickson Is Set to Helm THE GORGE for Skydance

Scott Derrickson (Doctor Strange, Sinister, Black Phone) has jumped on board a new film project that he will direct for Skydance. The film is titled The Gorge, and the script was written by Zach Dean. It was acquired by Skydance during a competitive bidding war.

There aren’t really any plot details to share, but it’s said to be a “high-action, genre-bending love story.” Derrickson has a unique and gritty directing style. I’ve enjoyed the films that he’s made, and I can’t help but be curious to see what this next project of his turns out to be.

Derrickson’s company, Crooked Highway, will join Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger as producers. Derrickson, C. Robert Cargill and Sherryl Clark will produce through Crooked Company as well as Dean and Adam Kolbrenner.

Derrickson and Skydance are currently working together on a Bermuda Triangle movie with Chris Evans attached to star.
