DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Casting Rumor For Highly Anticipated MCU Role

Let’s start this off with a huge SPOILER WARNING. I know that there have been a lot of casting rumors floating about the internet in regards to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I am not here to say that any of them are true or false. What I am going to say is that there have been some rumblings out there and I don’t want to spoil anything for you. If you want to go into this movie not knowing what may happen, please stop reading. This is your final warning.

From here on out, there will be spoilery speculations galore. Are you ready? Here we go.

Recently LRMonline and The Illuminerdi released a roundup of reliable sources that say that we will be seeing some versions/variants of Mr. Fantastic in the Doctor Strange sequel. The only reason I am putting any weight behind these rumors is the fact that LRMonline has a great track record of delivering accurate information regarding upcoming projects. Here is what has been put out there.

The Illuminerdi had this to say about the situation:

From what we’ve heard, it sounds like John Krasinski may have filmed scenes as Mr. Fantastic for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness. Now, if this turns out to be true it would be a huge win for fans that have fan cast Krasinski as the leader of the Fantastic Four for years. Interestingly it sounds like Krasinski could be playing a variant version of Mr. Fantastic from another universe. Mr. Fantastic was one of the members of the Illuminati in Marvel comics.

From reading the article, it seems like their source is claiming that this is only going to be a cameo and he is only going to be a variant of the MCU’s Mr. Fantastic.

At first I wanted to convince myself that John Krasinski as Mr. Fantastic in any form, variant or not, would be good enough for me. But after some time to reflect, has me thinking that this scenario is complete bullshit. To play this purely for fan service would be too much. It worked for No Way Home because we had a relationship with McGuire and Garfield established and this was the goodbye fans needed. If you were to give us the one person that we have been begging for just to take him away in the same movie, that is shameful. SHAME!

Then you have LRMonline saying that Krasinski will not be the variant, but OG Mr. Fantastic Ioan Gruffudd will potentially play the variant. If that is the case and Krasinski has already filmed his part, then does that mean Krasinski will be the leader of the Fantastic Four?

We also have to take into consideration the fact that The Illuminati have been rumored to show up in this film. That includes the rumor that Patrick Stewart has done some scenes for that. Then things could get really interesting. Would that mean that we would see Anson Mount come back as Black Bolt?

The speculation is endless, however, I have to take into consideration the sources that this main rumor is coming from and hope that we get the best Fantastic Four the MCU can provide. Let us know what you think.
