DOCTOR WHO Helpline Helps Those Who Can't Cope With The Fact The New DOCTOR is a Woman
Earlier this week it was announced that the new Doctor in Doctor Who would be played by Attack The Block actress Jodie Whitaker. Yes, a woman is playing Doctor Who and there are a lot of hardcore fans that aren't very happy with it.
SBS VICELAND created an amusing parody video that is basically an advertisement for a fake Doctor Who helpline for people who can't seem to handle the fact that The Doctor is now a woman.
It was interesting to see everyone's reactions to this big news. So many people have been asking for this and are happy, and then there's a ton of people that hate that this is the direction the series is going. Just goes to show, you can't make everyone happy.
In the end... all that's going to matter are the ratings. If the show does well with a female Doctor, she'll be around for awhile. If she doesn't, they'll replace her. Regardless, it's kind of cool BBC is actually taking the risk and trying something different.
