DOCTOR WHO Will Not Have a Panel at Comic-Con 2014

Worst Comic-Con news ever. BBC America has announced that there will NOT be a Doctor Who panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2014. I'm incredibly disappointed by this news. I know a lot of Doctor Who fans that go to Comic-Con just to see the Doctor Who panel. It looks like the line for Hall H is going to be a lot shorter the Sunday that it would have taken place.

In case you're wondering why they pulled out, it's because of the Doctor Who world tour that will be taking place. Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman will appear together for the first time in the U.S. when they arrive in New York City on August 14th. Why can't they show up a month earlier at Comic-Con?! That's where all their fans will be gathering! it doesn't make any sense to me that they would skip out on the biggest geek event of the year. It's not the first time this has happened though. They dropped out of the con back in 2010.

Doctor Who will still have a presence at the BBC America booth, and there will be activities around the convention, as well as an offsite fan meet up for the 50th Anniversary. It's still a major bummer that there will be no panel for the fans to attend. I was really looking forward to it this year with the new Doctor and all.
