Does Ghost Spider Have What It Takes To Defeat Herself In New SPIDER-GWEN: SHADOW CLONES?

Gwen Stacy, aka Ghost-Spider, recently teamed up with heroic versions of herself from throughout the Marvel multiverse in the series Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse. But now she’s about to confront her darker side when twisted clones of herself are combined with Spidey’s most iconic villains in the upcoming Spider-Gwen: Shadow Clones. Written by Emily Kim, drawn by Kei Zama, and featuring designs by Peach Momoko, this will be a five issue limited series that will see Gwen transformed into dastardly new versions of Doctor Octopus, Sandman, Vulture, Rhino, and Kraven the Hunter. And to celebrate this new group, artist Greg Land will be making some homage variant covers. The pinup style covers will pay homage to Land’s iconic variant cover of Edge of Spider-Verse #2 which was Ghost-Spider’s first appearance. We have the first four variant covers to share with you and they look amazing. The Sandman one is my favorite, I love the effect they got for the sand and I really like the way they designed the clothes for Gwen. I also really like the Rhino cover, but I definitely think she looks more adorable than menacing in it, like a kid dressed up for Halloween. Which cover is your favorite? You can find Spider-Gwen: Shadow Clones #1 on March 1, 2023 in comic book shops.
