Does THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU Have a Post-Credits Scene?

The Mandalorian and Grogu is almost here, and with the movie finally making the jump from Disney+ to the big screen, fans are obviously wondering what kind of surprises might be waiting once the credits roll.

Marvel movies trained audiences to stay planted in their seats until the very last second, and considering filmmaker Jon Favreau helped kick off the MCU with Iron Man, and with Star Wars being a huge franchise, it’s a fair question to ask.

So let’s get right to it… No, The Mandalorian and Grogu does not include a post-credits scene. Once the movie ends and the credits start rolling, that’s the end of the story for now.

There’s no extra tease for Ahsoka Season 2, no cameo setting up Star Wars: Starfighter, and no surprise appearance from Grand Admiral Thrawn waiting at the tail end of the credits.

Of course, fans who stick around can still soak in Ludwig Göransson’s fantastic score and appreciate the massive crew that brought the film to life, but there isn’t a hidden stinger attached to the movie.

That might come as a surprise, but Lucasfilm appears to be taking a different approach here. Favreau previously revealed that he had written The Mandalorian Season 4 with plans that would connect to Grand Admiral Thrawn’s rise in Ahsoka.

But once the decision was made to turn the series into a theatrical movie, he reportedly started fresh and crafted a standalone story that carries the spirit and adventure-driven feel of Seasons 1 and 2.

That doesn’t mean the future is closed off, though. Fans are already hoping Din Djarin and Grogu will continue playing a major role in the larger Star Wars universe moving forward, especially with the franchise slowly building toward bigger crossover storytelling on the big screen.

And while Lucasfilm hasn’t officially announced a sequel yet, or announced what’s in store next for The Mando and Grogu, Sigourney Weaver recently made it clear that the cast would gladly return for more adventures in the Outer Rim.

The actress said: "Well, in an ideal world, I'd love to make another Mandalorian and Grogu, because it was so much fun to work with Jon Favreau. And I'm a huge admirer, and just to be in this world, for me, it was cool. And I really like my character, and I'd love to do more work with Pedro and his sidekick."

She continued: "So, I think that, secretly, we're all hoping maybe this could produce another one that would take us further into the Outer Rim and more adventures,"

At the moment, Disney hasn’t confirmed a follow-up film, which honestly makes the lack of a post-credits tease feel pretty understandable. The studio is almost certainly waiting to see how the movie performs at the box office before locking in the next chapter.

Reviews have been slipt on the film, but in my opion it’s a lot of fun, and I enjoyed it! With the movie arriving in theaters on May 22, it won’t be long before audiences finally see what Din Djarin and Grogu have been up to since Season 3 wrapped.

In The Mandalorian and Grogu, the Empire has fallen, but danger still lurks across the galaxy as scattered Imperial warlords continue fighting for power. While the New Republic struggles to maintain order, legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal, and his young apprentice Grogu are pulled into a brand-new adventure.
