Don Cheadle's Role in SPACE JAM 2 Revealed By His BLACK MONDAY Co-star

Don Cheadle, known for his roles in Hotel Rwanda, Crash, and House of Lies, as well as his recurring MCU role of James Rhodes, a.k.a. War Machine, in the Infinity Saga, has a role in the upcoming sequel Space Jam 2, starring basketball star LeBron James. Up until now, Cheadle’s role has been kept under wraps, along with the synopsis for the film. But thanks to Cheadle’s Black Monday series co-star, Paul Scheer, it looks like we have a clue as to the type of character he will be playing.

In a recent appearance on Clip City podcast (via CB), Scheer was talking about LeBron James and his involvement with his co-star Cheadle in the upcoming Space Jam sequel, saying:

“Actually Don Cheadle, who I do Black Monday with, he’s the bad guy in Space Jam [2], and he said LeBron’s really great. He was great in Trainwreck too.”

Up until now, many fans speculated that Cheadle would be one of the good guys. But he is a great actor, so he can really go any direction. While this isn’t an official announcement, it sounds pretty legit. I don’t think this guy would say something so definite without knowing what he is talking about. Space Jam 2 is currently paused in post-production, and is set to hit theaters on July 16, 2021.

Are you excited for it?
