Donald Glover Rumored To Be Reprising His Lando Calrissian Role in a New STAR WARS Series

I thought that Donald Glover being cast in the role of Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story was inspired. He was fantastic in the role and like a lot of fans, I was hoping that we’d get to see more of him in the role in the future. But, when we learned that Lucasfilm wasn’t going to move forward with a sequel to Solo, the chances of seeing that happening dropped dramatically.

Well, according to a new report from Kessel Run Transmissions, Glover may very well be coming back to the role! According to the report, the actor has either signed on or is close to signing on to play Lando for a future Disney+ show. They don't offer any other details on the matter, but there have been previous rumors suggesting that Disney has been wanting to have Glover back for another Star Wars project.

If this rumor ends up being true, it’s safe to assume that the new series will be set after the events of Solo, which would open doors to continue the story of Alden Ehrenreich’s Han Solo, Emilia Clarke’s Qui'Ra, Joonas Suotamo’s Chewbacca, and of course Darth Maul.

While this is just a rumor, I will point out that this is the same source that first broke the news of The Bad Batch animated series that was recently officially announced.

If this rumor does turn out to be true, would you be happy to see Glover return as Lando Calrissian in a new series?
