Donald Glover Says The Script is Done For The Long Awaited COMMUNITY: THE MOVIE
For those of you who have been wondering what’s been going on with Dan Harmon’s long-awaited Community: The Movie, Donald Glover has offered a big positive update on the project! The actor recently told ET, "I was told that the script -- literally, I was texting today -- I was told that the script was done."
The actor added that while he has not read the script yet, "It's really just a schedule thing [but] I'm in....I'm all in." So, it seems like he’s excited to return to the franchise after all these years, which is great! It will be awesome to see most of the gang back together again!
Harmon previously talked about getting the gang back together and making the experience worth their while. He explained: “I don’t want these now-superstar people, like Emmy-winning Donald Glover, who are bothering to gather out of loyalty to this thing, to come back and once again be getting blue pages run down by an intern that totally contradict what they spent all night memorizing. I want to have a veneer of, ‘Here’s your reward.’ I don’t want them to go, like, ‘Oh, he’s learned nothing, he’s treating us like cattle again.’ ”
Glover will be joined in the film by returning co-stars Joel McHale as Jeff Winger, Danny Pudi as Abed Nadir; Alison Brie as Annie Edison; Gillian Jacobs as Britta Perry; Jim Rash as Dean Pelton; and Ken Jeong as Ben Chang. We still don’t know for sure if Yvette Nicole Brown will return. Keith David is also expected to reprise his role as Elroy Patashnik.
