Donald Glover Shares First Trailer for ATLANTA Season 3
Donald Glover recently dropped the first trailer for the third season of his FX series Atlanta. Glover tweeted out a message saying “Happy Halloween,” along with a link to the website Gilga.com. That takes you to a hyperlink “Enter Gilga” which you click to watch the video.
Gilga is a “Nite-Site,” which is only operational between the hours of 8 pm and 3 am. So if you go there at any other time, you can’t watch the trailer. It’s ok though, the trailer has been uploaded to YouTube and you can watch it below.
In the trailer, there’s chanting going on saying, “It’s after the end of the world, don’t you know that yet?” There are also shots of empty locations around Atlanta, and near the middle of the 60-second trailer, Brian Tyree Henry appears as his character Alfred “Paper Boi” Miles. That’s followed by the series’ logo and the year 2022.
It’s pretty crazy that it has been nearly three-and-a-half years since its Season 2 finale. Atlanta is going to be coming back, though, and I’m excited for it!
The series also stars Keith Stanfield as Darius and Zazie Beetz as Van. Glover also wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted, “I can’t wait til this show is out. I watch the roughs like it ain’t my show.”
