DOOM PATROL Season Two to Premiere on HBO Max and DC Universe

Doom Patrol was a well-liked show by audiences and critics. It’s no surprise that it’s getting a second season, but it is surprising to hear that it will not be exclusive to DC Universe. That’s right, the second season of Doom Patrol will be premiering on HBO Max as well as DC Universe. Unfortunately, we don’t know when exactly we’ll see the support group/superhero team, other than 2020, but word has it that the second season is set to begin production in November.

Part of me wonders if other series will go a similar route. That would be really nice for some people who may enjoy the shows, but don’t necessarily want all the comics and other benefits of DC Universe. What do you think of this dual-platform approach?
