DORA THE EXPLORER Live-Action Film Gets Release Date

It has been a while since we heard about the live-action adaptation of Dora the Explorer. Michael Bay is still producing and Nick Stoller is directing it. In recent news, we've learned when we can expect our children to drag us to the theaters. Dora the Explorer will come to theaters next summer on August 2, 2019.

It is still weird to me that Bay is involved. It makes me wonder if they’re basing the film on the CollegeHumor short. That seems more his speed than a bilingual girl trying to get to her abuela’s house by going through some small obstacles like a bridge that is missing a plank.

We don't know much about the story for the film but it was previously said that Dora will not be a 7-year-old kid in the film. Instead, she will be a teenager, who moves to the city to live with her cousin Diego.
