DOWN UNDER COVER to Star Tiffany Haddish and Chris Hemsworth
Tiffany Haddish and Chris Hemsworth are teaming up for a film that is sure to be a hit with some. Down Under Cover is a buddy cop action comedy said to be in the spirit of films like 48 Hours and Rush Hour and it has a fairly familiar premise:
“In Down Under Cover, Hemsworth will play a detective who goes undercover to crack a series of baffling casino heists in which the prime suspects are a troupe of Australian male erotic dancers. He’s forced to take the partner no one else will — Haddish’s character, a lone wolf who does things only one way: hers. Together they have to work as an unlikely duo to solve the crime of their careers.”
Yes, this isn’t the most original idea out there, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun and good. I’m excited to see Hemsworth doing more comedic work. The script is being handled by Peter Hoare. I’m also interested as no director has been attached yet.
