DRAGON BALL FIGHTERZ is Getting Rollback Netcode and a New-Gen Edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

During 2022 Evolution Championship Series (EVO), Bandai Namco made a somewhat surprising announcement. The team is developing new-gen versions for their hit fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ. The game is developed by Arc System Works and the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will be getting editions to utilize all their power for “even more breathtaking visuals with incredible responsiveness to player inputs.” I’m definitely intrigued to see what these new-gen editions involve. That wasn’t the only announcement though. They also announced that new-gen and PC players will be able to have better online experiences thanks to the fact that they’re updating the game with rollback netcode in the future. I don’t fully understand rollback netcode myself, but I do know enough to know that people who are really into fighting games (like Dragon Ball FighterZ) love it. More details on both of these updates will be coming in the future. Are you excited for either of these updates?
