DRAGON QUEST HEROES: THE WORLD TREE'S WOE AND THE BLIGHT BELOW Trailer
Franchises such as Dynasty Warriors have always been fascinating to me, and there is a great deal of fun to be had with that sort of "us against hundreds and hundreds of people" gameplay. The thing is, while I have enjoyed my time with those games, something about them just never clicked with me. Enter Dragon Quest Heroes. The game's bright and stylized art and cartoon-like visuals immediately grabbed my attention. While I haven't spent a lot of time in the Dragon Quest world, I still have a passerby's knowledge of its characters and lore. Plus, I happen to have a Dungeon Defenders size void in my gaming library at the moment, and this looks like it will fit the bill nicely. As long as the skill and ability trees have a lot to offer, with at least some mild customization thrown in, this could be just what I need. Granted, I'm not thrilled that there isn't at least some co-op component included, at least at the moment, but hopefully that gets rectified down the line. In the meantime, check out the trailer and some additional screens of the game below.
Dragon Quest Heroes releases on the PS4 on October 13th, 2015.
