DreamWorks Animation Gives B.O.O.: BUREAU OF OTHERWORLDLY OPERATIONS a New Release Date
Dreamworks Animation is developing a new Ghostbusters-like movie called B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherwordly Operations. It really sounds like it could be a great movie. It was supposed to be released on June 5th, 2015, but the studio has has pulled it from that date, and a new one has yet to be given. Pixar’s Inside Out is scheduled for June 19th, 2015, and it seems like DreamWorks doesn’t want to compete with that.
The supernatural action comedy follows two bumbling apparitions who find themselves in an extraordinary after-life adventure when they join the Bureau of Otherworldly Operations (B.O.O.) – the ghost world’s elite counter-haunting unit – and ultimately must face off against the planet’s greatest haunter.
B.O.O. features the voices of Seth Rogen and Melissa McCarthy as the lead ghost agents. Rashida Jones, Matt Bomer, Jennifer Coolidge, and Octavia Spencer voice additional roles.
Tony Leondis (Igor) directed the film from an original story concept he came up with, and it was written by Tom Wheeler (Puss in Boots).
DreamWorks Animation still has two other 2015 films planned. There’s Home, (with the voices of Jim Parson, Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez), coming out on March 27th, and Kung Fu Panda 3, set for a Christmas 2015 release.
