Dreamworks Teaches You to Write in the Language of the First Ones from SHE-RA AND THE PRINCESSES OF POWER
I’m a bit of a language nerd. I got my degree in Linguistics, and trust me, only language nerds do that. I love playing around with language from time to time and I’ve even thought of trying to create my own from time to time. It’s complicated though. However, Netflix and Dreamworks have teamed up to create a written language for the upcoming She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. There’s even a handy PDF guide that you can look at to learn it. A few points to note:
It’s phonetic, meaning each symbol has one sound.
It reads from right to left
It has a lot of ways you can personalize it
I think this is freaking awesome! It is the written language of the First Ones who are semi-mythical beings. They either colonized or formed Etheria and now exist in the Cavern of Fire as spirits. Imagine all the Easter eggs you’ll be able to uncover if you learn this written code!
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power will be available on Netflix starting November 16, 2018.
