DRIPPED Is a Sweet and Strange Animated Short
This wonderful short was shortlisted for the Oscar for the Best Animated Short in 2013, and it is probably the sweetest homage to a great painter I have ever seen. Written and directed by Léo Verrier, "Dripped" is about an art thief with a curious motive. He doesn’t sell the paintings he steals — he eats them and becomes them. Briefly. Unfortunately, the museum beefs up security, his supply dries up, and… I’m not going to tell you what happens. But the whole thing is a really beautiful tribute to Jackson Pollock, and it is definitely worth a watch. It is sure to put a smile on your face.
Thanks to io9 for the heads up.
