DUELIST NEXUS Brings a New Type of Monster to the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG
At the end of July, Konami released the latest core set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, Duelist Nexus. This is one of the famed green sets so expectations were pretty high. In my opinion there was a lot for the set to offer and at the end of the day it was about average (cue outrage in the comments section). There were new cards for Noble Knights, Phantom Beast, new retrains of Two-Headed King Rex, and it introduced the new Illusion-type of monster. Oh, and it had some of those pretty Quarter Century Secret Rares. I’m guessing the person who pulled my box of Battles of Legend: Monstrous Revenge must have been on a well-deserved vacation when my box of Duelist Nexus was pulled as it was not as legendary. You can’t pull them all.
In addition to the box of Duelist Nexus, Konami sent me the Gold Pride accessories and I really like them. They’re very fun and the deck box in particular is striking. It just has the emblems of the Gold Pride characters in metallic paint and it really is fun to look at. It might be my new deck box. The binder has the same emblems on the front but then the back has card artwork for the Gold Pride cards and it also looks great. You can watch the accessories on camera and everything I pulled in the video below. As always, let me know what your pulls were and what your favorite cards from the set were.
