DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Announces D&D Live 2019: The Descent to Celebrate the Game
D&D Live 2019: The Descent will be happening between May 17-19 in Los Angeles, California. If you’re a fan of Dungeons & Dragons and in town, you may want to stop by as you’ll be able to get a sneak peak at things to come to the game, see some famous members of the community, and get some cool swag. Here’s an official description:
“Following last year’s award-winning Stream of Many Eyes, this year’s D&D event will give fans in Los Angeles the chance to play through an epic adventure designed to plunge players into a captivating story. The three-day extravaganza will include a sneak-peak at upcoming products, signings with D&D luminaries, musical performances, unique giveaways, tons of amazing cosplay and of course a whole bunch of twenty-sided dice rolling critical hits!”
If you’re not in LA, don’t worry, you can still watch the festivities from a distance thanks to the internet. Starting at 4 PM Pacific Time on May 17, fans can tune into the D&D Twitch channel and watch The Descent for all the news and to watch some of the games played. Performers including Mica Burton, Matthew Lillard, Anna Prosser, and Patrick Rothfuss will be playing a two-part story with a live audience. The Dungeon Masters present will be Jeremy Crawford, Chris Perkins, and Kate Welch.
There’s more to the event than just watching people play the game though. On May 19, Chris Funk of the Decemberists will be featured in and direct a rock concert.

Play a 3-hour session of a D&D Adventurers League Epic previewing elements from the new storyline on Saturday or Sunday

Watch D&D played live by the biggest D&D personalities in the studio audience on Friday and Saturday nights
