DUNGEONS & DRAGONS DMs Can Use a New Aberration Monster from MONSTER HUNTS WEEKLY #21 to Bring a New Challenge to Spellcasters

This week marked the release of Monster Hunts Weekly: Issue 21. This issue comes from Vall Syrene, Miłosz Gawęcki, Sean Shannon, and Atavism with a new monster for DMs to throw at their Dungeons & Dragons parties, the Peripheral Stalker.

This large predator is from the Ethereal plane and follows the scent of failed spells as it hunts spellcasters. It looks like if Cerberus put its three heads together and I’m not sure how I feel about that. You’ll need to be at the top of your game to bring down a Peripheral Stalker though with a Challenge Rating of 14 it is a force to be reckoned with.

However, if you’re able to slay it and harvest parts, you can make a Wand of Spell Disconnection which has the potential to stop enemies from casting spells.
